debate between barak obama and mitt romney is tomorrow night and the campaigns are doing whatever they can to get ready. actually i heard that the obama campaign is a little worried 'cause during his flight to nevada on sunday, the president apparently watched four hours of football instead of studying. campaign released a statement last night, calling the video a, quote, transparent attempt to change the subject ahead of the debate. the romney campaign distanced itself from the video saying it had no involvement with the release. paul ryan speaking about a moral tipping point in united states, six months before romney's 47% remark. >> before too long we could become a society we were never, ever intended to be. we could become a society where the net majority of americans are takers, not makers. today 70% of americans get more benefit from the federal government in dollar value than they pay back in taxes. you could argue that we're already past that tipping point. the good news is, survey after survey, poll after poll, still shows that we are a center right 70/0 country. 70% of americans want the american dream. they believe the american idea. only 30%en watt their welfare state. what that tells us is at least half of those people currently in that category are there not of their wish or their will. >> ryan's comment were part of the keynote address at a gala dinner hosted by the

performance against john kerry and came back strong. last night the president was mocking his own performance. you have to accept you didn't do well, and come back and bring it to romney. but he's going to have to do that. >> okay. mitt romney, on the other hand, had a strong showing. what does he need to do to maintain any momentum he might have picked up? >> i think this presents the romney campaign with something they needed. they needed to hit the reset button. they needed to make it race closer. it was starting to slip away. now we have a new race. everyone is paying attention now. a lot of people i think that can be swayed and maybe some were swayed during the debate, he needs to, i think, win probably the next two, or at least have strong showings. he just needs to keep that momentum. avoid gaffes that have plagued his campaign. >> on a personal note, they were trying to soften him, make him more like, you know, every day person out there. the comment that i have five sons, i know about you -- i thought this was personal and a good tough. i don't know whether that was planned or not. >
